The pottery was initially part of Pelegano village industries (then Pelegano pottery) , a project initiative by Mr Frank Taylor and Mr Dick Hapkins in 1975. The role of the pottery and other projects within Pelegano was to set up self-sustaining rural development that created employment for people living in Gabane and surrounding areas.
Pelegano pottery was under the supervision of German volunteers until 1993. When the volunteers pulled out of the project Mr Martin Kabwe was employed to manage and run the pottery. Three years later, Pelegano Industries pulled out of pottery making and other projects that were not bringing in profit. With the pottery facing closure, Mr Kabwe decided to buy out the pottery, lease equipment from Pelegano and continue operation with the same group of employees. The pottery has been operating since then.

The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of your products, and your location. Before the final checkout page you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a chance to not place your order if you decide not to.

If an item goes on back order we will ship you the part of your order that is in stock. When the item becomes available we will ship you the rest of your order. You will not be charged any additional shipping and handling for the second shipment.

You may cancel an order any time before the item has been shipped out. You cannot cancel an order once your item has been shipped, is in transit or out for delivery.
How To Return An Item
Your item must be in its original unused condition to be returned, unless there is a manufacturer defect. Your must return the item within 7 days of your purchase.
1. Please log into your "My Account" and initiate a warranty claim.
2. Mail your returned item to:

3. Include in your package a signed letter stating the reason for your return and the original receipt.
Some items can not be returned if they are opened.
Merchandise that has been worn, used, or altered will not be accepted for return or exchange.
All products are subject to a 15% restocking fee, this will be deducted from your refund. Any misleading or false claims will be charged a restocking fee. We also do not refund the original shipping and handling that you paid on the order.
If your ordered product is in like new condition preferably with orgininal packaging in place, you may exchange your ordered product for another product. You will not be subject to a restocking fee in this case, but you still will have to pay return shipping.
We only provide refunds if an order is cancelled before being shipped out or if an exchange is not possible due to lack of stock.
