Graduate Marketing Internship (x3 Positions)


Skymartbw is looking for any graduates majoring in Marketing or any Business Related course to come and join us at our office in Gaborone, Botswana.

We are looking for a individuals who have a passion for technology and are digitally savvy to come and learn what we do here at Skymart, by so doing you would contribute to building the largest and most successful eCommerce marketplace company in the nation.

Available now 3 spots.


– Online zoom based interview
– Two (2) weeks training mix of zoom and physical training sessions (no allowance).
– Two (2) – three (3) months probationary period (allowance)
– Based on Performance and evaluation, 1 person will be hired as a full time employee (negotiated salary with commissions)


We are looking for candidates who can help us with:
– Seller Recruitment
– Product Capture + Data entry
– Photography and Photoshop
– Digital Marketing eg. Social Media, Email, Push, App, Google Adsense
– Various other duties as they relate to eCommerce and social Commerce.
– How to process orders and general customer service
– Weekly performance reports


– Must be a graduate with at least Diploma or Degree in Marketing or related business course that includes few computer modules
– Must be comfortable dealing with people from different backgrounds (confident)
– Must have obtained at least 30 points for BGCSE/IGCSE
– Must be residing in Gaborone
– Must be available 5 days a week, between 8.30AM-5PM.

General Manager


We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate General Manager to come in and head into a new era of eCommerce in Gaborone, Botswana.

Core Responsibilities

  • The General Manager will develop and carry out the strategic online marketing plans for the company . As such, the GM must stay current with the online marketing environment and adapt sales strategy to best serve the interests of the organization and to keep pace with competition in their field.
  • The General Manager is heavily involved with companies’ website, particularly products, advertising and content elements. Given the 24/7 nature of online shopping, General Manager may work irregular hours and be on call to handle any issues that arise. GM will often collaborate with content developers, fellow businesses heads and customers on regular basis.
  • The GM is,  in charge of an organization and will report to the board of directors. General duties will include website/app design and development, market research,  budgeting, sourcing products, pricing , managing P&L, maintaining healthy profitable relationships with various stakeholders, interviewing and training new key heads and lead employees, supervising the marketplace division, and presenting project designs to upper management to achieve an annual profitable financial and Marketing plan as well as control and improve market share across all categories.
  • The General Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing, leading and managing  the company with a significant online presence in Botswana.
  • GM, will handle decision-making for the website, social media accounts, and online advertising. They will also be responsible for research and development of new online marketing strategies, and for hiring and training the rest of the E-commerce organization structure.
  • The GM will be responsible for daily operations of order fulfillment. Delegate deliveries accordingly to the responsible freelancer or delivery company.

Website Design

  • The General Manager will be responsible for determining the format and features of the website in order to maximize clarity and ease of navigation for customers. Also will liaise with the Web designers to develop and alter the website as needed, as and when required.

Research and Development

  • The General Manager will keep abreast of new developments in the e-marketing world.
  • The General Manager will also research the company’s core demographics and how to best reach them, in order to maximize search engine traffic and the effect of the company’s targeted ad buys.

Supervision, Hiring and Training

  • The General Manager will oversee the entire company and divide up employees on tasks. They will also be responsible for interviewing, bringing their preferred candidates to upper management, and providing necessary training, as well as setting objectives and report progress of of objective achievements on quarterly basis.

Financial Planning and Budgeting

  • The General Managers must get involved in setting budget and held responsible and accountable in front of the directors for the profitability of the company. The job of an general manager is to plan for e-marketing expenditures well in advance and develop a financial plan that will maximize resources and return on investment.

Project Development and Presentation

  • The General Manager will present annual plans for any new advances or initiatives to improve the company’s online presence and e-sales.

Evidencable Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience with practices and techniques related to web merchandising or online retailing will be an added bonus, however will not disqualify you.
  • Operational knowledge of techniques required for market research and analysis. Using Google Analytics and other data sources.
  • Sound knowledge of website management and e-Commerce usability including SEO, Search Console, Google and Apple Developer accounts.
  • Knowledge and ability to use various suite of applications including Adobe Photoshop, MS Word & Excel, Online tools such as Canva, Hubspot, Mailjet etc.
  • Some knowledge of website hosting background such as AWS.
  • An ideal candidate for the General Manager position is an organized, analytical person with strong technical skills. They will be able to multitask effectively and be able to problem-solve when needed. An General Manager will be able to successfully manage a team of people and delegate tasks based on skills. They must be creative, pragmatic and eager to learn.
  • A must have hands on experience and competencies that General Managers should have.
  • Communication: A large part of an General Manager’s job is effective communication. They must be able to clearly describe job duties to those they supervise, and lay out full plans to the management. Expert written and verbal communication is key to getting ideas across.
  • Technical Understanding: A strong grasp of modern technology and social media is essential to the job of an General Manager. An expert understanding of spreadsheets, databases, financial analysis, website design, search engine optimization, and e-marketing strategy will be key to fulfilling the many functions of the job.
  • Flexibility: The job of an General Manager is unpredictable. He must be willing to work long, irregular hours when needed. The market changes quickly, and new developments may require a quick overhaul of the company’s strategy.
  • Professionalism: The General Manager will be required to oversee a team, meet with clients and designers, suppliers, logistics services providers and present to superiors the way forward plans.


– Bachelors Degree in any Business or IT related field
– 5 years experience in any leadership role
– Must undertake a Google Digital Marketing and eCommerce course upon approval
